| 20"x20" Ink with Pallet knife on Wood 'Moral Contemplations' This piece is a comment on morals and the lines that we all have that regulate those morals... This is an image of a man with a shotgun who just held up a family. The father has been shot and is on the ground dead or dying while the little girl kneels over her father in support and fear... the mother, stands with the shot gun pressed against her pregnant belly.... the contemplation... will he do it... we know that this man has the ability to pull the trigger... he just shot the father... but will shoot the pregnant woman in the belly... where do moral lines get drawn.. we all have them.. and we all push them... so maybe extreme... but it's just a thought... |

| 4'x3' ink and oil on wood 'Consequences' This is a painting of a friend of mine after crashing his motorcycle. As an artist who obsesses over extreme uniqueness in images, i needed to paint this once i saw the picture.. I plan on doing a series of this piece (5 more) all in completely different styles because of how intriguing the image is to me, and because of how much there is to work with and learn from.. i love using different images to teach myself different style. With this piece i learned a lot about using Ink as paint. Something that will definitely be recognizable in my future work. |

| 3'x3' ink and oil on wood 'Is it the color of my skin?' This is part of a series of psychological portraits I've been working on...some of my subjects i have interviewed to gain a greater knowledge of how they see themselves, but clearly, i did not interview this 7mo old niece of mine to see how she see's herself... i have used my nieces in many of my pieces because I love them, they are beautiful, and they're young expressions intrigue me.... this niece happens to have Native American blood in her through her mother, which leads to the pun title. Mostly the expression in her face when she looked at me this way seemed like she was asking me why i was judging her, how could i do such a thng... i lead me to think about how as people we judge.. some knowingly and some not... but to judge a child would have to be such a shallow judgement... there is nothing that this child could have done.... so I chose to paint this in color to show the colors of any skin...my own comment on judgement.... |

| 3'x1' acrylic on wood 'This is all I know' This is a painting of my father... I met him when i was 15 and now have known him for more than half of my life.. however, because of time and distance, what i know of this man is his face.. it's the same face most of my brothers have and its the face i call dad... this picture was taken at a family bbq when he was watching my nieces run around the yard and was making sure they were safe... it was a fatherly look... and because i still have so many reservation on the subject or understanding of who he is. This painting was my way showing the fatherly look that clearly can exist in him, that i rarely had the chance to know. |

| 4'x2' oil on wood 'Here no, See no, Speak no Evil' This is piece also part of my series of psychological portraits...This piece extends about another foot on each side with white however this image is better for viewing the details... this piece is about a girl's path in life that lead her to be a reserved girl of few words...a rough life and the need to stay protected and observant...without giving out too many details of her story.... she was one of the subjects I interviewed to learn more about how she see's herself and how to portray a more true image of her to the world than a simple portrait would do. |
